Who We Are

About Tuelimike

Tuelimike is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-religious, and non-political organization headquartered in Isanjandugu village, Nsimbo Ward, Nsimbo District Council, Mpanda District-Katavi Region, Tanzania. It was established on 29th February 2012 with Registration Number 16NGO/00005237 under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act 24/2002. Initially authorized to operate at the district level, Tuelimike now operates nationwide (Tanzania Mainland) with the current Registration Number 00NGO/R1/00984 after amendments made effective on 23rd August 2022.

"Tuelimike" means "Get Educated" in local pronunciation, "Twelimike". Our slogan is "Tuelimike: The Thinking Springs" (Tuelimike Chemchemi ya Fikra).

The intention of the organization is to empower the community in terms of educational development at different levels. Since 2007, we've been dedicated to increasing community participation and understanding in government programs, especially in education and development patterns.

Tuelimike envisions using knowledge and shared experience to promote thinking and capacity building among people of all ages, prioritizing positive change.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower rural communities to effectively participate in development programs using local skills and accessible opportunities to combat poverty with integrity, confidence, objectivity, and teamwork.
